NFL EVP Identifies Japan as Potential Next International Market

The NFL is expanding its international footprint after approving the ability to stage up to 10 international games per season, up from eight. NFL EVP Peter O’Reilly said Japan could be a future target market, while noting the league could reach 11 games in 2027 with NFLPA approval. The league is also removing teams’ ability to protect specific home opponents from being moved overseas.
