NFL Makes Dynamic Kickoff Rule Permanent, Adds 2025 Tweaks

The NFL locked in its “Dynamic Kickoff” for 2025, aiming for more returns and safer collisions. Touchbacks now spot the ball at the 35-yard line, rewarding returns over kick-outs. Receiving teams can adjust alignment with three players in the setup zone. Onside kicks may be attempted anytime if trailing, no longer restricted to the fourth quarter.
