NFL MVP Turned PGA Tour Champion John Brodie Dies At 90

Brodie, a former NFL MVP with the 49ers and later a PGA TOUR Champions winner, died Friday at 90. He played 17 NFL seasons, won the 1970 MVP and had his No. 12 retired. Brodie later made 230 Champions Tour starts, winning the 1991 Security Pacific Senior Classic. “I feel just as good as I can possibly feel,” he said after that victory.
