NFL Responds Cautiously to Department of Justice Investigation
The U.S. Department of Justice has opened an investigation into whether the league uses anticompetitive tactics that harm consumers. The NFL said in response to the DOJ’s move that, “the NFL’s media distribution model is the most fan and broadcaster-friendly in the entire sports and entertainment industry." They added that the 2025 season was the most-viewed since 1989.
