NFL Rule Explains Seahawks’ Game-Tying Two-Point Conversion vs Rams
Seattle’s game-tying two-point try against the Rams stood because the ball came loose on a backward pass, not a fumble. Although officials initially ruled it incomplete, replay showed a backward pass recovered immediately by Zach Charbonnet in the end zone. NFL rules allow advancement on backward passes during tries, unlike fumbles, making the conversion valid and ending the game.
