Nick Saban Defends Chris Grier After Dolphins Split, Cites “Lots of Issues” in Miami

Saban reacted to Grier’s ousting by calling the ex-Dolphins GM “one of my favorites,” saying he “does a really, really good job.” Saban added Miami’s problems go beyond personnel: “They haven’t played great on defense and haven’t scored a lot of points.” The former Dolphins coach said Grier’s exit reflects “decisions everybody has to make internally.”
