Wright said people are changing MVP standards to favor Wembanyama over Luka, arguing the award has never been split 50-50 between offense and defense. “In real time people are trying to change what the historic qualifiers for MVP are… in service of one guy’s candidacy… and against another guy’s candidacy,” Wright said. “Changing it up I think is disingenuous.”
