Nneka Ogwumike Signs With Groundbreaking Global Women’s Basketball League, Project B

Ogwumike, the WNBPA's President, signed on as Project B's first player. It is set to launch in 2026, offering salaries starting at $2 million, almost 10x the $249,000 WNBA supermax. Founded by former Facebook executive Grady Burnett and Skype co-founder Geoff Prentice, Project B will also offer players equity. The first season will run from November 2026 through April 2027.
