Nolan Arenado Scratched From Diamondbacks Lineup as Precaution
Arenado was scratched from Arizona’s lineup against Seattle at T-Mobile Park for “precautionary reasons,” Nick Piecoro reported, one day after Muñoz hit him on the elbow. Lovullo initially downplayed that scare, saying the pitch struck a nerve area. The veteran has also dealt with groin and leg knocks. Rookie Jose Fernandez replaced him at third after a 3-for-5 Friday.
