'Not Much Observable Traction': Giants Monitor Tatsuya Imai Posting Window

MLB reporter Jeff Young tweeted Dec. 27 that Imai’s MLB posting window closes Thursday, Jan. 2, 2026, with little movement in the market. He said clubs can’t peg the Japanese righty, some projecting a mid-rotation arm, others a back-end starter. Young expects San Francisco to keep monitoring if the asking price drops. He added Imai’s decision could free up other pitching deals.
