Novak Djokovic Admits Roger Federer’s Early ‘Coldness’ Hurt Him

Djokovic said his attitude towards Federer and Rafael Nadal “never changed,” but he felt Federer’s “coldness and distance” in their early years and that it “hurt” him. He still saw both as players who “traced my path,” and when they later warmed up, he “opened [his] arms.” Djokovic added he’s always understood Nadal better and feels closer to him.
