Oklahoma QB John Mateer Undergoes Hand Surgery, Eyes October Return

During Oklahoma's 24-17 win over Auburn, Mateer broke a bone in his right hand, sidelining him for a month. The QB has now confirmed that his throwing-hand surgery was a success, crediting Dr Steven Shin, “The GOAT!!” Before the injury, Mateer was in fine form, fuelling OU’s 4-0 start, tallying 1,215 passing yards, 190 rushing yards, and 11 total TDs.
