Oregon State Picks Alabama’s JaMarcus Shephard as New Head Coach

Oregon State (2-9) is hiring Alabama co-OC Shephard on a 5-year deal, giving him his first head-coaching job. The Beavers moved quickly after firing Trent Bray in October and identifying Shephard as a target, who has coached WR's and coordinated offenses at Western Kentucky, Purdue, Washington, and Alabama. He now takes over a team that’s been 2-2 under interim coach Robb Akey.
