Orioles Manager Craig Albernaz Hit By Foul Ball in Dugout, Exits Diamondbacks Game

Albernaz was struck by a 70-mph foul ball off the bat of infielder Jeremiah Jackson during the fifth inning. Standing in the dugout, Albernaz attempted to turn away but couldn’t avoid its path and got hit on the side of the head. He quickly exited the dugout, taking the stairs toward the clubhouse. Bench coach Donnie Ecker took charge.
