Oscar De La Hoya Slams Canelo Álvarez Over David Benavidez Fight
De La Hoya accused Álvarez of refusing to face Benavidez despite long-running calls for the matchup. “Excuse after excuse,” he said, adding Benavidez and Zurdo Ramirez were the top opponents available. De La Hoya said promoters could not get Álvarez to the table, insisting there was “nothing else” to say about why the fight never happened.
