Padres Release Nick Castellanos After Rough Stint
Castellanos hit .191 with four home runs and 20 RBIs in 39 games this season after San Diego signed him to a one-year minimum contract in February. "It just felt like trending toward the direction that he wasn’t very comfortable in that part-time role" Craig Stammen said. Castellanos was designated for assignment one day after a video tribute in Philadelphia.
