Panthers Coach Dave Canales Reveals He Had Skin Cancer Removed

Panthers HC Canales revealed he recently had skin cancer removed from his nose after a routine team screening detected basal cell carcinoma. "It's a good reminder not to take these things for granted," Canales said. "They were able to get it off. I'm really appreciative." Canales, 45, whose mother also dealt with skin cancer, said he diligently applies sunscreen daily.
