Paul Heyman Calls WWE’s 2006 ECW Revival a ‘Miserable Experience’

Heyman praised WWE 2K26 for including Hardcore Heaven 94, but made clear fans chanting ECW are not talking about WWE’s mid-2000s relaunch. He called that version “one absolutely abhorrent, miserable experience for everybody involved.” For Heyman, real ECW means 1993 to 2001, the era that “revolutionized” and “evolutionized” the wrestling industry.
