Pierce urged patience if Tatum returns Friday, saying, “We can’t expect him to be the same player right away.” He added, “don’t expect Jayson Tatum to come back and start getting 30,” stressing a minutes ramp-up and caution after Achilles rehab. Pierce said multiple doctors and trainers signed off, so “if they’re OK with it, then I’m OK with it.”

Jaylen Brown Detonates at the Rim for a One-Handed Poster Dunk
Midway through the 2nd quarter, Brown was at the top of the key with the ball. He drove into the paint, beating Coby White and rose for the dunk. Although Moussa Diabate did his best to block it, Brown slammed home the thunderous one-handed poster dunk. Brown flexed in celebration and stared down the Hornets bench while returning to defend.
