Pierce recalled filming Nike’s “The Second Coming” commercial and playing Kobe one-on-one. “He keeps knocking the ball out,” Pierce said. “I’m like, ‘dawg, we gotta shoot the shot.’” Pierce said Kobe “didn’t want me to get the shot off,” adding, “it’s a commercial… He was really playing,” The commercial also featured LeBron, Paul, Nash, Stoudamire, O’Neal, Marion, Wallace, and Parker.
