After taking a contested 3-pointer, he hopped backwards and seemingly twisted his ankle while tripping because of the Cavaliers' raised court. That height difference seemingly caused the injury. Doncic limped off court and was unable to much pressure on his left foot.

Luka Doncic Returns to Lakers vs. Cavs Game After Injury Scare
In a moment of great relief for Lakers fans, Doncic returned to the court after exiting with a foot injury. Luka was hurt after tripping due to the Cavaliers' raised court. He was backpedalling after a 3-point attempt and tripped backwards, injuring himself. Doncic returned before the end of the first quarter, after some treatment on the foot.
