Penn State Fires James Franklin After 12 Seasons

Franklin, who has been in Happy Valley since 2014, has been fired after a 3–3 start, capped by the shocking 21-22 loss to Northwestern. Franklin went 104–45 in 12 seasons, winning one Big Ten title but just 4–21 vs. AP Top 10 teams. His buyout reportedly exceeds $48 million. Terry Smith will be taking over as Penn State's interim head coach.
