Penn State Players Struggling to Move On After James Franklin’s Firing

Interim coach Terry Smith said emotions are running high at Penn State following Franklin’s firing after a 3-3 start. “Coach brought everyone in… these are young people... they are hurt and torn,” Smith said, adding the team feels it “failed” Franklin after last year’s playoff run. Smith now aims to refocus the group ahead of Saturday’s matchup against Iowa.
