Philip Rivers Says Riley Leonard’s Inclusion as the Starting QB “Makes a Lot of Sense”

“I think it just made a lot of sense. It’s a loaded question because wanting to play was part of the reason I’m back. I think he’s (Riley) been working all year,” Philip said, backing Riley in his first start for Saturday’s game against the Texans. He added that he wants to “assist” Riley on game days as a backup QB.
