Phillies’ Jesus Luzardo Agrees to Five-Year, $135 Million Contract Extension

The two parties earlier signed a $11M contract to avoid arbitration, which would have made him a free agent. The current five-year deal will begin in 2027. Luzardo pitched 32 games in 2025, recording a 3.92 ERA, 216 strikeouts, and a 15-7 record. The Phillies were first in the NL East(99-66), getting eliminated in the NLDS by the Dodgers in four.
