Premier League Matchdays Could Become NHS Depression Treatment

The UK’s National Health Service is considering making Premier League match attendance an official treatment option for depression after a 12-clinic trial reportedly delivered encouraging results. The idea would use live football’s community, routine and emotional connection as part of care plans, turning matchdays into more than entertainment and testing whether the sport can support mental health recovery.
