The President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, expressed great pride in Towns helping lead the Knicks to the NBA Finals. "As Dominicans we are happy & proud to see our Karl-Anthony Towns in the Finals following the Knicks resounding victory over the Cavaliers," Abinader said. He wished Towns the best in the Finals and to continue raising the Dominican flag.
