Protect College Sports Act Clears Committee, But Hurdles Remain

The Protect College Sports Act cleared the Senate Commerce Committee in a 19-9 vote. However, the momentum may be short-lived. According to Puck’s John Ourand, a Capitol Hill source believes “nothing gets done in the Senate before November,” citing a crowded agenda and opposition to the legislation. If delayed past the midterms, the bill could effectively restart from scratch.
