Qatar Paid Fans’ World Cup Trips Amid Fake Supporter Claims
Telegraph Sport reported that QFA funded flights, hotels, transport, and tickets for about 1,000 supporters through a “Qatari Fans Delegation Program,” with some receiving Fanboxes in Seattle before the 3-1 loss to Bosnia. QFA said the aim was to create “a vibrant stadium atmosphere,” while Head Coach Julen Lopetegui thanked the support from fans.
