Quentin Grimes Leans Towards Qualifying Offer as Deadline Approaches

Jake Fischer reported that Grimes looks headed for the $8.7 million qualifying offer. He and the 76ers "remain far apart" on a long-term deal. Fischer said what remains of talks is the 76ers and Grimes' representation negotiating the balloon payment required for Grimes to waive his no-trade clause. Grimes was not on the 76ers' flight to Abu Dhabi for preseason.
