Quentin Grimes Requests 1-Year $20 Million Deal Amid Contract Standoff

Restricted free agent Grimes and the 76ers haven't agreed on a deal. He was disappointed by their first offer, worth $39 million over 4 years, believing his value to be $25 million annually. However, Grimes has now reportedly requested a 1-year $20 million balloon payment to waive the no-trade clause he'd get by signing his $8.7 million qualifying offer.
