Randy Orton’s Back Injury Reportedly Changed WWE’s WrestleMania 42 Title Plans

Orton has reportedly been absent since WrestleMania 42 because of a significant back injury, after originally being planned to beat Rhodes for the WWE Championship. Rhodes retained on Saturday and has since moved into a feud with GUNTHER. Meltzer said Orton was “hurting” before WrestleMania, with the long-running back issue nearly ending his career years earlier.
