Red Sox Mourn Hall of Famer Mike Greenwell

Boston announced the passing of “The Gator,” Greenwell was a Red Sox Hall of Famer who “spent his entire career in a Red Sox uniform” and was “a beloved icon of Fenway and Fort Myers.” The club added, “He gave so much to Lee County and Sox Nation. We send our love to the Greenwell family.” He was 61.
