Report: 49ers Nearly Drafted Cam Skattebo to Pair With Christian McCaffrey

Kyle Shanahan revealed the 49ers “loved” Skattebo during the 2025 Draft and wanted to pair him with CMC. “He was awesome,” the 49ers HC said. But GM John Lynch opted to prioritize defense after Shanahan’s past misses drafting RBs like Trey Sermon and Ty Davis-Price.
