Report Links Red Sox to Two-Bat Splash Featuring Pete Alonso and Kazuma Okamoto

According to Jon Heyman, the Red Sox are “considering signing up to two” of Pete Alonso, Kyle Schwarber, Kazuma Okamoto, J.T. Realmuto and Alex Bregman. With roughly $60 million left to spend before triggering draft-pick penalties, two of those projected $20–29 million AAV bats could fit. It’s also one of the first concrete links between Okamoto and the Red Sox.
