Rich Paul Reveals He Begged the Pelicans to Draft Tyrese Maxey

"I hate to tell you this, I begged the Pelicans to." Paul revealed. The Pelicans had the 13th pick in the 2020 draft, but New Orleans passed because analytics flagged his three-point shooting. The Pelicans selected Kira Lewis Jr. instead. Maxey went 21st to Philadelphia and became an All-Star, while Lewis averaged 5.1 points in four NBA seasons.
