Roger Federer To Headline Australian Open’s First-Ever Opening Ceremony

Australian Open 2026 will stage its first official Opening Ceremony on Saturday, 17 January, with Federer leading “The Show Before The Show” at Rod Laver Arena. The 20-time major champion returns to court for a “Battle of the World No.1s” exhibition alongside Agassi, Rafter and Hewitt, the night before the main draw begins in Melbourne in front of excited fans.
