Rory McIlroy Says PGA Tour Can Learn NFL’s ‘Drip-Feed’ Marketing
Ahead of his AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am title defense, McIlroy said the NFL offers “a lot to be learned” in how it builds year-round interest. “It’s a short season and then once it goes away, people miss it,” he told reporters, praising how it “drip-feed[s] things… the combine, then… the draft, then… preseason.” McIlroy, world No. 2, previously suggested the PGA Tour shorten its season.
