Saints Sign "Waived" Tommy Mellott to Practice Squad

Mellott was a dynamic dual-threat QB in college, winning the 2024 Walter Payton Award as the FCS's best offensive player. He was drafted by the Raiders and transitioned to wide receiver, but was waived after the preseason. The Saints will look to develop Mellott, who posted a blazing 4.39 40-yard dash and a 41-inch vertical leap at pro day.
