Scotland Head Coach Steve Clarke Steps Down After World Cup Exit
Clarke stepped down as Scotland men’s head coach after their 2026 World Cup exit, ending seven years in charge despite signing a four-year extension in May. Scottish Football Association (SFA) called him their most successful national team boss. Clarke led Scotland to back-to-back Euros and their first men’s World Cup in 28 years, but Group C elimination triggered immediate resignation.
