Scottie Scheffler Blames Late Tee Times, Bumpy Greens For Riviera Slow Start
Scheffler followed a rough start—5 over through 10 holes Thursday—with a second-round 68 to reach even par and make the cut at Riviera. Asked about slow 2026 openings, he said “nothing in particular,” but late tee times are “never the easiest.” He cited wind, soft “bumpy” greens and putts that felt “a crapshoot.” Saturday brings another chance to climb.
