Scottie Scheffler’s Riviera Start Hits New Low Before Friday Fightback

Scheffler’s rain-hit opening round began 5 over through 10 holes, his worst first-10 stretch in a PGA Tour start since the 2014 Byron Nelson, when he was a 17-year-old amateur (4 over). The rough start included three bogeys and a double. He responded Friday with a 3-under round to reach even par and make the cut at Riviera.
