Seahawks GM Warns New State Tax Will Hurt Player Recruitment

Seattle Seahawks GM John Schneider warned Washington’s new “millionaire’s tax” could hurt the team in free agency. The law would impose a 9.9% tax on annual earnings above $1 million starting in 2029. “It’s gonna sting… especially competing with California teams,” Schneider said, noting the absence of state income tax had long helped Seattle recruit players.
