Seahawks Say Wrong Cleat Size Caused Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s Ohio State Injuries

Per Seattle's director of equipment, Erik Kennedy, Smith-Njigba wore size 12 cleats at Ohio State despite needing 10.5s. After switching sizes in Seattle, his recurring hamstring issues vanished. He hasn’t missed an NFL game since being drafted, totaling 1,992 yards and 12 TDs. Meanwhile, in Ohio, JSN struggled to stay on the field, playing only 23 games over three seasons.
