Sean Payton Expects Patrick Mahomes to Play in Week 1

Broncos head coach Sean Payton told Trey Wingo that Denver expects Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes to be available for their Week 1 matchup after he tore his ACL and LCL last season. Payton said, "I do," when asked if he expects Mahomes to play, adding, "I think we expect [him to play], certainly the networks and the league do as well." Kansas City hosts Denver on Monday Night Football on Sept. 14.
