Sean Payton Gives Play-Calling Duties to Broncos OC David Webb

At the NFL Scouting Combine on Tuesday, Broncos head coach Sean Payton confirmed he is handing over primary play-calling duties to new offensive coordinator Davis Webb for the 2026 season. Payton, who has called plays for 18 seasons, noted that the 31-year-old Webb is "extremely talented". While Payton will still call "some plays" on gamedays, Webb will lead the offense to help improve operational speed.
