Seve Ballesteros Statue Vanishes From Hometown as Police Open Probe

Police in Pedreña opened an investigation after a life-size bronze statue honoring Seve Ballesteros vanished Monday from La Barquería Park. The sculpture recreates his 1984 Open celebration at St Andrews, made in 2009 and installed in 2017. Town council warned the disappearance “all indicates is a robbery” and urged anyone spotting suspicious activity to report it to police.
