Seven NBA Teams Are Over the Luxury Tax This Season, With Cleveland Leading at $68.7M
Seven teams are projected to finish over the luxury tax this season, per Bobby Marks. Cleveland leads with a $68.7 million penalty, followed by Golden State ($67.9M), New York ($44.4M), the Lakers ($22.2M), Houston ($7.2M), the Clippers ($6.7M) and Minnesota ($6M). Each of the 23 non-tax teams is projected to receive $4.9 million, the lowest distribution since 2020-21.
