Shakur Stevenson Fires Back After WBC Strips His 135 Belt

WBC stripped Stevenson of its lightweight title on Feb. 4, citing rules on holding belts in different divisions after he won The Ring and WBO 140 crowns vs Teofimo Lopez (119-109 on all cards). Stevenson claimed the real issue was a $100,000 fee and said the WBC “had nothing to do with this fight”: “100k to some crooks...take your belt.”
