As a high-school freshman, Ohtani built an 8x8 “dream sheet” using the Harada Method, putting one goal in the center: become the No. 1 NPB draft pick for 8 teams. Around it, he added eight pillars—Body, Control, Sharpness, Speed, Pitch Variance, Personality, Karma, Mental Toughness—then broke each into daily actions, from core work and pitch variety to picking up trash.
